Hello Everyone,
The Members of the Ridgecrest Lions Club are all well and accounted for!!!! Rockin and Rollin still ongoing, hopefully no more “big ones”………………….two is quite enough.
Newer homes and neighborhoods seem to have done ok, older homes and mobile homes have minor to major damage, some red tagged.
The Ridgecrest Lions have set up a “go fund me” page, or donations can be sent to us at P.O. Box 2301, Ridgecrest, CA. 93556
Here’s the deal: We are not as of yet asking for an LCI Emergency Grant due to all the strings attached. We are communicating with the California Lions Foundation for a Grant, less strings, hopefully that will get approved.
The Ridgecrest Club has initially carved out $2,000 of our Charity Fund, and we are coordinating with the Salvation Army and the City of Ridgecrest emergency response headquarters to find where we can best be of help and assistance.
It appears that Trona is the hardest hit, but we haven’t been out there and are trying to get a point of contact. We know they have no water service at this time, and at least one truckload of water was sent out there so far.
Older homes and Mobile Homes are the hardest hit. Services appear to all be back on line, some stores still closed/cleaning up.
If you are able, please send a donation that we can use to help others in our community. We are not going to wait to act, and we are concerned of funds from CLF having a string or two that prevents us from immediately helping others.
That said, the Members of the Ridgecrest Lions Club are out and working where we can.
Please blast out this email far and wide. Thanks for the help in doing that!!!

P.S. – Please do not call me right now unless there is a very pressing need to do so. I’m “kind of” busy right now!!!!! lol
