Dear Lions,
Welcome to the new Lion year! As I begin my role as chairperson of Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), I feel happy, determined, proud, and I am filled with hope. LCIF is empowering Lions to do great things. I am thrilled that I am leading support for the foundation that supports Lions.
As a Lion leader, I frequently speak about reviving the lost art of storytelling. Storytelling is ever-important for our foundation. It is how Lions—and non-Lions—understand the importance of both doing and giving. It shows that our foundation is here to support Lions in their endeavors, whether that’s supporting our youth, giving vision back to someone who has lost it, or helping to rebuild a community center after disaster has struck. LCIF is here to help Lions accomplish even more than they could on their own.
Storytelling moves us to take action. Hearing the heartwarming story of a child seeing clearly for the first time in their life is what makes us want to be a part of it all. The world is in need. Lions want to answer the call. LCIF is here to support them. Campaign 100: LCIF Empowering Service is raising US$300 million so Lions can increase their service impact, fight diabetes, and expand our global causes.
